Ram added an array of new features for the 2023 Ram 1500. The first and possibly most exciting is the new available fully digital gauge cluster. Spanning 12 inches, the frameless display screen shows drivers important information that can be customized to suit driver preferences. These settings can be memorized in the driver profiles. The screen features five configurable tiles to display driving information at a glance. Additionally, Selec-Speed, which is essentially cruise control for off-roading, is now standard for the Ram 1500 Rebel. Selec-Speed also comes standard with the Back Country Package, available for the Big Horn trim, and the Off-Road Group, available for the Big Horn, Laramie, and Limited trims. 2023 also brings a new special edition. The Limited Elite Edition adds exterior features like a bed extender and cargo divider, four adjustable cargo tie-down hooks, a deployable bed step, an open tailgate warning lamp, and a multifunction locking tailgate. Inside the Limited Elite Edition, you'll find heated/cooled front seats, premium leather bucket seats, a unique instrument cluster theme, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, a bright pedal kit, a suede headliner, and a heated steering wheel.

Ram offers four engine options for the 2023 Ram 1500. As standard equipment under the hood, you'll find a 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, allowing you to haul up to 7,730 pounds. Meanwhile, the popular 5.7L HEMI V8 lays down 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque for a maximum towing capacity of 11,610 pounds. The V8 engine is also available with eTorque mild-hybrid technology, maximizing fuel economy and boosting the towing capacity up to 12,750 pounds. The 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine pushes out 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, hauling up to 12,560 pounds of cargo. The Ram 1500 TRX is in a league all its own with a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, ripping out a hellish 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful and fastest street legal truck on the market. All of the Ram 1500's available engine options mate to a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels. However, here in New England, 4x4 is the more common drivetrain for Ram trucks as it is better suited for our unpredictable weather.

As was mentioned above, the Ram 1500 has been awarded the IIHS Top Safety Pick numerous times. This was earned by the truck's high-strength steel frame that improves rigidity and durability and protects the cabin and its occupants from impact. Additionally, all occupants are protected in the event of a collision by six airbags. The front passenger airbag features Adaptive Venting Technology, which alters the airbag's deployment speed depending on the crash's severity and the size of the occupant. Additionally, the Ram 1500 features the largest brakes in its class, 14.9 inches, to be exact, as standard equipment. The advanced braking system is designed to bring you and your cargo to a safe stop even in less-than-ideal conditions. Ram's Advanced Safety Group is available, adding driver assistance technologies, including blindspot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear cross-path detection, and more.
