What engines are available for the 2021 Wrangler?

The Wrangler is never short on power, and each trim comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces an impressive 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine has an optional eTorque system that helps with the Wrangler's fuel economy. Drivers can pair the V6 with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler gives you the option of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 270 horses and 295 lb-ft of torque. There is even a diesel engine, which is a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 that is capable of producing 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Later in the year, Wrangler fans can expect a 4xe plug-in hybrid that uses the turbocharged four-cylinder and adds hybrid elements to up the horsepower to 375.

What are some of the Wrangler's features?

There are four trim levels available for the Wrangler, and each one comes with a ton of technologically advanced features. Starting things out is the Sport, which comes with 17-inch steel wheels, skid plates, tow hooks, foglights, and a 5-inch touchscreen. There is a Willy's version of the Sport, which adds black-painted wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and all-weather floor mats. The Sport S turns things up a notch with features such as air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and tinted windows. The Sport S comes with an Altitude version that adds to this with black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and an upgraded off-road suspension. The Sahara is the next trim, and it adds 18-inch wheels, a full-time four-wheel drive system, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Sahara comes with two optional packages known as the Altitude and the High Altitude, which add more tech features such as a sport-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, a 4G LTE Wi-fi hotspot, LED headlights, and keyless entry. If you're looking for a Wrangler that dominates the trails, the Rubicon is for you as it comes with 33-inch off-road tires and more massive fender flares. You also get heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles with a shorter 4.10 gear ratio, rock rails, and an electronic locking front and rear differentials.

What are some of the safety features?

With all of this raw power, it stands to reason that the Wrangler comes with a ton of safety features. Available is an Adaptive Cruise Control System that allows the Wrangler to maintain a pre-set distance between the driver and the other vehicles ahead. Also available is a Forward Collision Mitigation System which will help warn you of an impending collision and can even apply the breaks in certain situations. The last system we will talk about is the Blind-Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross-Path Detection, which check for vehicles in your blind spot and coming up behind you, which helps you make safer lane changes.
